Building on the success of previous empowerment programmes, the Foundation initiated a larger-scale intervention aimed at reaching 5,000 women and youths across Sagbama and Ekeremor LGAs. Currently in the assessment phase, the programme seeks to identify deserving beneficiaries and ensure effective distribution of resources. Once implemented, it is expected to significantly expand economic opportunities, reduce poverty levels, and empower a broader segment of the population.

Road and Streetlight Installation Projects in Sagbama LGA (2022 - Present)

Since 2022, the Foundation has been actively involved in infrastructure development through the construction of roads and installation of streetlights across Sagbama LGA. These projects were undertaken to improve accessibility, enhance safety, and stimulate economic activities within communities. The installation of streetlights has particularly contributed to improved security at night, while better road networks have facilitated easier movement of people and goods, thereby supporting local development.

Annual Distribution of Christmas Rice and Cash Gifts (2017 - Present)

Since its inception, the Foundation has consistently supported vulnerable individuals and families through its annual Christmas outreach programme. A Journey of Hope for Michael Melvin

On January 27, 2025, the Michael Olomu Foundation began a life-changing journey with young Michael Melvin. What started as a critical medical case quickly became a testament of compassion and a resolute commitment to saving lives.Michael’s case involved multiple hospital referrals, extensive laboratory tests, and four postponed surgeries. Despite these challenges, the Foundation remained steadfast, ensuring that no obstacle stood in the way of his treatment.Through dedicated efforts, the Foundation successfully:* Covered all medical bills* Procured necessary medications* Secured a hospital bed* Completed all required medical tests Michael has now been medically cleared and scheduled for corrective surgery.This intervention highlights the Foundation’s commitment to humanitarian service —providing hope and support where it is needed most. It reflects a mission rooted in meaningful impact.As Little Michael prepares for surgery, he remains in our thoughts and prayers, hopeful for a successful procedure and full recovery.

In June 2022, the Foundation undertook the renovation and equipping of a six-classroom block at Ogboin Grammar School in Amatolo Community. Medical Outreach — Ofoni Federated Community (2017)

In 2017, the Michael Olomu Foundation carried out a comprehensive medical outreach in Ofoni Federated Community in Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State aimed at bridging the gap in access to quality healthcare services. The programme was designed to provide free medical consultations, diagnosis, and treatment to residents who otherwise had limited or no access to healthcare facilities.Through the efforts of medical professionals and volunteers, hundreds of individuals were attended to and treated for various ailments. The outreach not only addressed immediate health concerns but also promoted awareness on preventive healthcare practices, leaving a lasting positive impact on the wellbeing of the community.
